Today in Science

7th grade-
Students received the project sheet for their Cancer Research Project- Due 11/25/08.  Please review the project with your student and look over the rubric on the back of the project sheet. Students will continue to gather research tomorrow.

HW- Work on Research on Cancer

8th grade-

Students worked on their Element Baby Book Project due 11/25/08.  Most students are working with a partner to complete requirements.  Students will work on project in class for the remainder of the week, but should also work on their project at home, according to divided responsibilities.

7th grade-

Students edited their Mitosis stories, identifying events that symbolize the stages of mitosis.  
HW -
*Mitosis Flip Book
*Diffusion Egg home experiment worksheets-Due Tomorrow.
*Study for quiz (know the stage of cell division)

Congrats to those students ( from 7B only) who completed their HW last night (mitosis story).  They are excused from tomorrow's quiz.

8th grade- HW-finish periodic basic & study for quiz.-drawing out Lewis and Bohr structures.

Today in Science

7th grade
Students compared a boxing story to the stages of Mitosis.  Students are to outline story and create their own for HW  tonight.

8th grade

Students worked on an advanced Periodic Table Basics assignment. If able, students are to work on this for HW tonight.  We will also work on it tomorrow during class.  The entire assignment is due Friday.

7th grade-

Students worked on Mitosis (cell division).  
Cell Models due tomorrow.  Please refer to project handout regarding requirements.

8th grade-

Students finished Periodic Table Basics (a study tool for tomorrow's quiz).  
Quiz tomorrow-Study how to draw the Lewis and Bohr structures of atoms,  know the difference between the periods and families, and how to interpret periodic table squares.
