Today in Science

7th grade

Students worked on classifying organisms.  Page 1 of the Six Kingdom System is due tomorrow.  We will work on creating cladograms tomorrow.  Many students didn't do their homework (classification packet) over the weekend.  Incomplete HW will not be accepted.  Students may turn in HW tomorrow for a late grade.  Please impress upon your student the importance of completing HW.

8th grade- Students watched Einstein's Beautiful Equation. NO HW tonight!

Today in Science

7th grade-Students watched a Bill Nye video on Biodiversity and worked on a classification packet, which is due Monday.

8th grade-  Students were assessed again on Conservation of mass (balancing equations).

No HW!

7th grade-  Students took notes on classification and briefly went over Table (last night's HW).  We will continue with another classification activity tomorrow.  Bioworld Project has been put on hold.

NO HW tonight.

8th grade-Students reviewed yesterday's quiz. We will have a make-up quiz tomorrow.  Student have yesterday's quiz to use as a study guide.

Today in Science

7th grade-  Worked on Kingdom Table, researching how organisms in the 6 kingdoms acquire energy, digest food, and excrete wastes.  Table are due Friday.

8th grade- Quiz today.  NO HW

Today in Science

7th grade- Student worked on their Kingdom Flap books.  Students also received their Kingdom  Analogy Project.  Students are expected to work on this project at home as well. Due Friday. 

8th Grade- Quiz tomorrow on Conservation of Matter.  Students need to be able to 

1.  Identify Bonds  2.  Count atoms 3.  Balance equations.

7th grade-

Students worked creating Kingdom Flap Books.  We will continue to work on this tomorrow.  HW-Students need to define the 2 Kingdoms that the Kingdom Monera  has been broken into.

8th grade students practiced balancing equations.  HW finish # 10-20.

Today in Science

7th grade-Students researched the 7 classification levels of animals from 4 biomes.  Most student finished.  IF not, finish for HW.

8th grade- Students worked on balancing equations.  Quiz tomorrow.  Study worksheets and notes.
