7th grade-

Students continue to work on Cancer Research Project.  Due Friday.  All papers must typed, 12 font.

8th grade

Students worked on a Heat Transfer lab today.  Student will need to hold on to their labs papers until Friday.  Study notes.

Today in Science

7th grade- Students started station rotations today.  They all learned the parts of a microscope and how to view prepared slides.  We will continue next week.  We are scheduled to work on Cancer projects next week, but we may push it back in order to finish microscope rotations.  I will decide on Monday.

Egg Labs are due on Monday.  If your child needed to start over, due to accidents, send in a note for an extension.  Please be sure that your student fills out the data chart.

8th grade-  Last of building simple and compound machines.  It was awesome to watch them so engaged.  I think we have a few engineers in the making.  Very impressive machines were built the last 2 weeks.

No HW this weekend.  Enjoy!

Today in Science

7th Grade-Yesterday, students began working on their cancer research.  Today, we watched the Lance Armstrong story and will work on looking at human cells under the microscope tomorrow.  NO Quiz tomorrow.

8th grade- Students are finishing up their last round of building simple and compound machines.  No HW

Today in Science

7th grade-Students completed study in prep for tomorrow's quiz on diffusion and osmosis.  Student should review their notes, look over their diffusion cloze (fill-in the blank), and their study guide to prepare.  Osmosis home lab should be started no later than this Saturday.  The lab takes 7 days to complete. Lab reports are due 2/22/10.  Email me with any questions or concerns.

8th grade-  Students continue to rotate through simple machine stations, using kenex kits to build a variety of simple and compound machines.

7th grade- Students reviewed mitosis study packet, analyzed a mitosis story, and started working on their flip book.  Flip book and story due tomorrow.  Quiz tomorrow on Mitosis.
